Princess Cruises fourth Royal Class vessel, Sky Princess, successfully completed her sea trials ahead of her October debut. The new cruise ship set out to sea from the construction dock at Fincantieri Shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy and was put through a series of maneuvers to test the propulsion, steering and navigational equipment. As the hurried pace of new cruise ship announcements and launches continues, Princess Cruises has announced the name of their 5th Royal Class cruise ship set to launch in June 2020. Princess Cruises has ordered two ships with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri S.p.A., on a next-generation platform that will be dual-fuel powered — primarily by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), the marine industry’s most environmentally friendly advanced fuel technology and the world’s cleanest burning fossil fuel.
