Anticipation for Symphony of the Seas has been incredible and now that the world’s largest cruise ship is here, let us give you a first peak.
The fourth ship in the Oasis-Class of ships takes many of her design and feature elements from her sisters, such as the Ultimate Abyss slide, the Perfect Storm water slides and the AquaTheater, but as with all new builds, some new elements and spaces are making their debut. Playmakers Sports Bar and Arcade offer a great place to watch all kinds of sports, snack on bar favorites and get in some arcade fun. El Loco Fresh is a brand new complimentary Mexican eatery featuring tacos, burritos and freshly mad salsas. Hooked Seafood is a new casual specialty restaurant blending a New England decor with fresh seafood and raw bar specialties. Enjoy a glow-in-the-dark Laser Tag adventure in Battle for Planet Z. Add to this all new shows and a one-of-a-kind Ultimate Family Suite and you’ve got the makings of an awesome cruise.
Here are the staggering facts and figures of Symphony of the Seas:
- 1,188 feet long, taller than the Eiffel Tower standing upright; and more than 215 feet wide
- Weighs 228,081 gross registered tons (GRT), which is more than 17,000 African bush elephants
- The ship is made up of 500,000 individual parts
- Total capacity of 6,680 guests
- There are 18 total decks (16 guest decks)
- There are 2,759 staterooms, including 188 suites; and 28 more balcony staterooms than Harmony of the Seas
- There are more than 13,347 pieces of artwork on board
- A first in the Solarium, the Big Wonder – a transformative sensory art installation – spans 2,594 feet
- 2,200 international crew represent 77 different nationalities
